Uluslararası Kırım Film Festivali, Kırım’ın ve Kırım Tatar halkının tarihini, kültürünü, sanatını, Kırım Tatar dilini, Kırım Tatarlarının ortak hafızasını ve güncel hikâyelerini sinema aracılığıyla görünür kılmak amacıyla kurulmuş uluslararası bir kültür-sanat platformudur. Festival, sürgünler ve göçler nedeniyle dünyanın farklı coğrafyalarına dağılmış Kırım Tatarlarının kaybolmakta olan somut ve soyut kültürel değerlerinin; dilinin, yaşayışının, vatan coğrafyasının, tarihinin, geleneklerinin görsel olarak belgelenmesini, sinema sanatı ile gelecek kuşaklara aktarılmasını hedeflemektedir. Dünya üzerinde Kırım ve Kırım Tatarları ile ilgili üretilmiş tüm görsel-sanatsal filmlerin arşivlenmesi de Festivalin amaçları arasındadır.
Festivalimizin ilki, 16–20 Eylül 2026 tarihleri arasında İstanbul’da gerçekleştirilecektir. Beş gün sürecek etkinlik boyunca belgesel ve kısa film yarışmaları, yarışma dışı film gösterimleri, yönetmen ve yapımcılarla söyleşiler ve özel buluşmalar düzenlenecektir. Ayrıca festival kapsamında, Kırım Tatarlarının somut kültürel mirasını yansıtan el sanatları, arşiv belgeleri, fotoğraflar ve çeşitli kültürel eserlerden oluşan özel bir sergi de izleyicilerle buluşacaktır.
Uluslararası Kırım Film Festivali, yalnızca film gösterimlerinden oluşan bir etkinlik değil; aynı zamanda diyalog kurmayı, kültürel dayanışmayı güçlendirmeyi ve ortak bir hafıza alanı oluşturmayı amaçlayan çok yönlü bir buluşma noktasıdır. Sinemanın evrensel diliyle Kırım’a, Kırım Tatar kimliğine, diline ve bu coğrafyaya ait görüntü sanatlarına alan açmayı hedefler.
Festival yarışma bölümü 3 bölümden oluşmaktadır; Belgesel Film , Kısa Film ve Yapay Zeka/Çizgi(Animasyon) film kategorilerindeki filmler yarışmaya katılabilir. Belgesel filmler 70 dakika, kısa filmler 35 dakika, Yapay Zeka/Çizgi Filmler 10 dakikanın altında olmalıdır. Yarışmaya, son üç yıl içinde üretilmiş yapımlar kabul edilmektedir. Başvuru koşulları ve tüm duyurular festivalin resmi internet sitesi www.kirimfilm.org üzerinden ilan edilmektedir.
Festivalin temel hedef kitlesini; sinemaseverler, sinema ve belgesel film yönetmenleri ve emekçileri, akademisyenler, sanatçılar, genç sinemacılar ve dünyanın farklı bölgelerinde yaşayan Kırım Tatarları oluşturmaktadır. İlk yıl İstanbul’da düzenlenecek olan festivalin, ilerleyen yıllarda farklı şehir ve ülkelerde gerçekleştirilerek gezici ve sürdürülebilir bir uluslararası yapıya kavuşması hedeflenmektedir.
Uluslararası Kırım Film Festivali, Zafer Karatay’ın Başkanlığında, Neşe Sarısoy Karatay’ın Genel Sanat Yönetmenliğinde, Emel Türk Kültürünü Araştırma ve Tanıtma Vakfı bünyesinde, gönüllülerden oluşan bir ekip tarafından düzenlenmektedir. Festival ekibi; bu davaya, sinemaya ve kültürel mirasın yaşatılmasına gönül vermiş öğrencileri, gençleri ve yetişkinleri de sürece katılmaya davet etmektedir.
Amacımız; Kırım’ı anlatan filmlerin üretimini teşvik etmek, bu filmleri uluslararası izleyiciyle buluşturmak ve Kırım Tatar halkının kültürel mirasına dair kalıcı bir görsel arşiv oluşturmaktır. Uluslararası Kırım Film Festivali, sinemanın gücüyle hafızayı canlı tutmayı ve kültürel sürekliliğe katkı sunmayı amaçlayan bir dayanışma çağrısıdır.
International Crimean Film Festival
The International Crimean Film Festival is an international cultural and artistic platform established to make visible the history, culture, art, language, identity, collective memory, and contemporary narratives of Crimea and the Crimean Tatar people through cinema.
The festival aims to visually document, preserve, and transmit to future generations the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Crimean Tatars—who have been dispersed across different parts of the world due to exile and migration. This includes their language, traditions, way of life, homeland geography, historical experiences, and cultural memory.
In addition to encouraging new productions, the festival seeks to create a sustainable cultural archive by collecting, preserving, and cataloguing audiovisual works related to Crimea and the Crimean Tatar people produced anywhere in the world.
Another key objective of the festival is to archive all visual and artistic films produced worldwide that focus on Crimea and the Crimean Tatar people, thereby establishing a permanent and accessible visual memory center for future generations, researchers, and artists.

The International Crimean Film Festival is not merely a screening event; it is a multifaceted meeting point that aims to foster dialogue, strengthen cultural solidarity, and create a shared space of memory.
Through the universal language of cinema, the festival seeks to open space for narratives about Crimea, Crimean Tatar identity, language, and the visual arts of this geography.
It also aims to build bridges between communities, cultures, and generations by encouraging intercultural exchange and collaborative artistic production.
By positioning cinema as a tool of cultural resilience, the festival aspires to contribute to the protection of endangered cultural expressions and to amplify voices that have historically been underrepresented.

The competition section consists of three categories:

Only productions completed within the last three years are eligible for submission.
Films may address themes related to Crimea, exile, migration, identity, memory, language, cultural heritage, or other relevant social and artistic perspectives.

Organization
The International Crimean Film Festival is organized by a volunteer team under the Chairmanship of Zafer Karatay and the Artistic Directorship of Neşe Sarısoy Karatay, within the Emel Turkish Culture Research and Promotion Foundation.
The festival team invites students, young people, and adults who are passionate about cinema and the preservation of cultural heritage to take part in this initiative.
Driven by solidarity, collective effort, and cultural responsibility, the festival operates with a strong commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and artistic independence.
